Uniformity function (MURACOMP/UNIFORMITY) compensating unevenness of not only brightness but also colours
The monitor is equipped with the Uniformity function (MURACOMP/UNIFORMITY) compensating for any unevenness in brightness and colour, and Gamma properties on the screen in 5 steps by employing a dedicated image processing IC uniquely developed by NEC.
Uniform display performance sought by professionals can be provided by setting the optimum compensation value according to display properties of the respective LCD panels that are slightly different from each other, based on measured data.

RESPONSE IMPROVEMENT circuit reduces ghosting when displaying motion pictures
The monitor is equipped with the RESPONSE IMPROVEMENT circuit to improve the response speed for half tones, which is a weak point in the LCD panel. The built-in temperature sensor is incorporated to adjust the response speed to the optimum value automatically even in low temperatures, for instance immediately after starting operation. More advanced performance reduces ghosting and strange artefacts when displaying motion pictures.
The 12-bit gamma adjustment function for more accurate gamma correction
By employing the 12-bit look-up table for the respective RGB colours, 16.77 million out of approximately 67,967.23 million colours can be displayed. Compared to ordinary the 10-bit gamma correction function (displaying about 16.77 million out of approximately 1,064.33 million colours), smoothness of gradations and the accuracy of the colour resolution have improved dramatically.
Auto brightness function* reducing stimuli to eyes
The Auto brightness function automatically adjusts to optimum brightness according to brightness/darkness in a room by integrating a photo sensor. Since appropriate brightness can be maintained constantly, stimuli to the eyes can be reduced when using the monitor for many hours.
The Off Mode function for automatically entering the power save mode in accordance with the surrounding brightness is also employed.
* If this function is used after calibrating the monitor, the calibration effects will be disabled.
Auto black level adjustment function reproducing sensitive gradation on dark parts
Even if the video signal levels of black parts on an image vary with the computer, the Auto black level adjustment function improves gradation and contrast of the dark parts and eliminates black dots to reproduce more natural colours.
The 3-system input is capable of connecting 3 units of PC
The input connectors are enhanced for the 3-system input. Three connectors, the DVI-D connector capable of inputting signals from a PC in Digital to Digital mode, the DVI-I connector capable of inputting both analogue or digital signals, and the Mini D-SUB 15-pin capable of inputting analogue signals only are provided. It is possible to connect three PCs at the same time and operate them as one. Furthermore, the Auto input function automatically detecting the availability of a video signal input on the connector and displaying images from the PC where the video signal input is available.

The multi-screen displays up to 5 x 5 = 25 units. Furthermore, images on the surrounding portion of the screen, which are difficult to connect to each other due to the bezels, can be interpolated highly precisely, so that the entire multi-screen display appears smooth. (TILE COMP function)

The monitor is equipped with the Long cable compensation function* to suppress signal deterioration for long distance connections. For the synchronized signal (sync on green) connection that is generally applied in the trade rooms of financial institutes, it is possible to display high quality images stably even for a long distance connection up to 100 m.

Scheduling function automatically turns on/off the power
The monitor is equipped with the Scheduling function to turn ON/OFF the power automatically with simple settings. You can choose a schedule among Every day, Every day of the week and Every week. You can set up to seven settings. The power save mode moves to the pause state automatically if there are no input signals for a fixed duration.

The Super Slim bezel has a width on the right and left of 12.0 mm,* and the bezel width on the top and bottom is 13.6 mm.* The screen is very visible and the bezel width does not interfere.

The stand can be removed only by operating the lever on the stand. When you install the monitor without the stand, it is not necessary to remove screws.
Unique arrangement of the operation buttons
The control button is arranged on the right bottom of the bezel for intuitive operation. The up/down key and the right/left key are shifted for the Pivot function, so that its convenience may not be affected.
Change the height and direction of the display as needed
With the stand height adjustment function, the height of the display can be adjusted up to a maximum of 150 mm (LCD3090WQXi/LCD3090WQXi-BK:190mm) for setting the display panel in the optimum position depending on the use environment. Furthermore, the Swivel Angle function turns the display panel horizontally up to a maximum of 340 degrees. The mechanisms are useful when several different people must view the same screen in a studio, production room, or conference room.
