LCD Monitor MultiSync LCD2490WUXi2 / LCD2490WUXi2-BK

spec

Top-of-the-line model with state-of-the-art functions on an IPS LCD panel for reproduction capable of satisfying the strictest professional requirements

The LCD2490WUXi2 is a 24.1-inch high resolution WUXGA (1920 x 1200) display can reproduce the exact dimensions of the A3 size; the true value of the monitor shows in professional DTP and image editing. The wide, high-definition LCD panel with a high contrast ratio of 1000:1 reproduces a true deep black. The 24.1-inch wide display boasts the NEC technologies of MURACOMP that compensates for unevenness by individually adjusting gamma properties and unevenness on displayed images, the RESPONSE IMPROVE circuit that reduces ghosts on video images, and the 12-bit gamma adjustment function for high-definition gamma correction.

Features

A wide view angle is secured by employing the IPS panel

The IPS (In-Panel-Switching) panel has less changes of brightness or colour when viewed from an angled position. Since the IPS method can secure a wider view angle than the VA method, highly satisfactory operating environments can be provided under a variety of use conditions, so that this is highly appreciated by graphic professionals or in medical sites.

Brightness Feedback System

By employing the built-in colour sensor on the main unit, unstable brightness immediately after turning on the power can be compensated automatically to make it stable within several minutes. Since it is possible to set the display brightness by the unit of 1 cd/m² without any external colour sensor, you can set your desired brightness intuitively. (The value of cd/m² is an estimated value based on the adjustment result executed at the factory.) Furthermore, changes of not only the brightness but also the chromaticity due to changes with the passage of time will also be compensated, and the stability of the brightness and the chromaticity can be maintained.

Picture Mode for smooth image quality adjustments

The Picture Mode switches the monitor to the optimum display mode depending on the displayed contents, such as raw data from digital cameras and Web content. The controls make it possible to switch the detailed parameter settings of colour temperature, brightness and gamma values with four modes; Standard, sRGB, Medical and Programmable.

■ Type of picture mode
Mode Contents
STANDARD Displaying images as set on the OSD menu
sRGB Displaying images as appropriate for sRGB
MEDICAL Displaying images as appropriate for referencing medical images
PROGRAMMABLE Displaying images as adjusted with hardware calibration
(The brightness cannot be adjusted from the CSD menu)

Individual adjustment suppressing dispersion (individuality) of the respective products

In addition to the compensation of unevenness and the gamma adjustment that are ordinarily executed for the respective panels one-by-one according to their individual panel properties, RGB data of the respective panels are precisely measured at the factory and recorded for the respective products of LCD2490WUXi2. Since the ICC profile is provided* in accordance with the data for managing colours when using Mac OS, accurate colour reproduction can be materialized by suppressing dispersion (individuality) on the respective products.
*The white point of the provided ICC profile is 6500K.

*1 Interpolated Resolutions: When resolutions are shown that are lower than the pixel count of the LCD module, text may appear different. This is normal and necessary for all current flat panel technologies when displaying non-native resolutions full screen. In flat panel technologies, each dot on the screen is actually one pixel, so to expand resolutions to full screen, an interpolation of the resolution must be done.
*2 1200 x 1920 resolution only.
*3 Maximum brightness will be reduced to 250 cd/m2 in portrait mode in order to maintain image quality and lifetime of monitor.
