A diverse range of functions with a focus on "ease of use" and "convenience".
Direct display of DVD video images
Equipped with an HDCP-compatible*¹ DVI-D*² terminal and DisplayPort*³
The products come equipped with an HDCP-compatible DVI-D*2 terminal (HDCP is a system for encrypting DVD video signals). By displaying signals from the DVD faithfully, DVD video images can be displayed*4 even more realistically.They are compatible with the advanced DisplayPort*3, as well.
*1 HDCP: High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection*2 LCD 8205 and LCD8205-P come equipped with an DVD-I terminal.
*3 DisplayPort is compatible with the P461, P401, M461 and M401 models only.
*4 Requires a DVD player with an HDCP-compatible DVI-D output terminal.
Zoom mode that responds naturally and exibly to videos with differing aspectrations
With the Zoom mode, an input signal with an aspect ratio of 4:3 can be displayed expanded to 16:9.
There is also the Dynamic function that changes the expansion ratio of the center and exterior for more
natural, easy-to-see wide display. Also, not only can the diagonal ratio of the incoming signal be expanded, but the expansions can be made only for the horizontal direction or only the vertical direction, making it possible to make flexible adjustments.
Dual Picture function for parent/child (2 screens) displays
The products have functions for showing diverse parent/child (2-screen) displays, such as showing the child screen inside the main (parent) screen [PiP (Picture in Picture)], showing the child screen on the side [PoP (Picture out Picture)], and for splitting the screen in two and each side by side [Side by Side].
The optimal display method for the use/purpose can be selected.
* LCD5710 is not compatible with 1080i signals.
* LCD4215 is only compatible with PiP and PoP.
Display of varied screen patterns is possible
You can assign an ID number*1 to each display. Display of varied screen patterns is possible by grouping
(assigning a group ID*2: A to J) display ID numbers together.
Equipped with the Scheduling function that automatically controls when the power is turned ON or OFF
All models come standard with the Scheduling function that automatically controls when the power is turned ON or OFF. Select from among "Daily," "Each Weekday," and "Weekly" using easy input operations to make ON/OFF settings (up to a maximum of 7). Furthermore, when there is no incoming signal the power-saving mode will automatically put unit into a sleep state.
You can now set Picture Mode* anew, which allows selection of optimal image mode from ve dierent
modes.
Realization of natural color reproduction through the Natural Color Matrix function
Using the Natural Color Matrix function color-change system, adjustments can be made independently to six axes made up of the three primary colors of light (R/G/B) and the three primary colors (Y/M/C) and to saturation (S). In this way, colors are reproduced naturally and comfortably.
* LCD8205, LCD8205-P, V461, LCD4215 and V321 are not supported.Color temperature settings for projecting natural hues (2600K to 10000K)
Color temperature can be set within the wide range from 2600K to 10000K. Especially in situations like when the display is set up behind the newscaster on a news program, the display can project natural hues; the color adjustments that used to be so troublesome are now no longer necessary.
* Set with in the range from 3000 K to 10000 K for X461HB.
When using multiple-screen displays, the Tile Matrix function makes smooth connections between images
With the Tile Matrix function, up to 100 displays (10 vertical by 10 horizontal)* can be set up in a multiscreen arrangement. Furthermore, with the TILE COMP function or the X Gap / Y Gap function, the image areas can be adjusted to compensate for the interference of the bezels and create a smooth surface display.
* LCD6520L, LCD5710, LCD5220, V461, LCD4215 and V321 have a maximum of 25 screens (5 vertical by 5 horizontal).
* X461UN, X461HB, P461, P401, M461 and M401 have a maximum of 100 screens (10 vertical by 10 horizontal).
AMBIENT Mode adjusts the brightness automatically.
The products are equipped with a sensor that detects the brightness of the surroundings. If AMBIENT1 or AMBIENT2 is selected in Picture Mode, the brightness of the display is automatically adjusted to the optimal value to match the brightness inside the room. Two types of settings can be made in AMBIENT mode, and brightness values can be set both for when the inside of the room is bright and for when the inside of the room is dark.
* Compatible with the X461UN, X461HB, P461, P401, M461 and M401 models only. For the X461UN model, the remote control kit KT-RC (optional) is required.Automatic detection of input signals
Automatic switching between signals to display is possible
The products come with three kinds of input signal automatic detection modes to match the system conguration. This makes it possible to minimize the amount of input switching work that needs to be done when the video output device changes.
* LCD8205, LCD8205-P, V461, LCD4215 and V321 are not supported.Easy DICOM mode for displaying images for medical use
DICOM Part 14 for displaying the standard gradation characteristics of images for medical use is preset in the manufacturing process. Medical use images saved in DICOM format can be browsed.

Display of the amount of reduction in CO2
The amount of power consumption reduced by lowering of brightness settings converted into amount of CO2 emissions (kg) and displayed as a cumulated value.
* The amount of reduction in CO2 levels was calculated based on the 2008 Edition of CO2-Electric Energy Equivalents released by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).* Compatible with the X461UN, X461HB, P461, P401, M461 and M401 models only.
