PlasmaSync P60XP10 / P50XP10 / P42XP10

Vivid image expression with the industry's highest level of contrast ratio

  • For offices, educational sites, conferences and presentations.
  • For digital signage* in transports, banks, security companies and shops.
  • For information displays in public facilities and hospitals.
*Electronic bulletin board system for digitalized information presented on the display unit.

Technology

The industry’s highest level* contrast ratio

Vivid three-dimensional images reproduced with the industry’s highest level* contrast ratio of 15,000:1 (10,000:1 for PlasmaSync PDP-P60XP10).
*Japanese models for business use, according to our research as of November 2007.

Equipped with a digital high quality signal processing circuit

Consistent fully digitalized signal processing prevents deterioration of quality for the display of high quality images.

Function

Dual picture function*

Dual picture functionAppealing images are achieved by combining different kinds of pictures, such as video signals or analogue and digital signals from PCs. The display offers a variety of functions for any occasion including office use or presentations in educational institutes, transport facilities, financial institutes, and commercial facilities as well as video conferences linking remote sites.
*It is impossible to combine analogue RGB signals.

Sub screen variable transparent function

When images are displayed with the Picture-in-Picture function, the transparency of the Sub screen is selectable. Select in units of 10% within the range from 100% to 20%.Sub screen variable transparent function

Text insert function

When a screen is displayed using the picture-in-picture function, the transparency of the Sub screen is selectable. The range of selection is from 100% to 20% and is adjustable in increments of 10%.

Colour correction function capable of adjusting specific colours independently

The display Colour Correction Function is capable of individually adjusting specific colours, such as red, blue, green, yellow, magenta, and cyan without affecting the white balance. Since the white balance stays the same, specific adjustment of colours is possible depending on the image sources or purposes of use, such as adjusting only the blue of the ocean or the green of a spring forest.

4032 patterns, 900% digital zooming function

Select any point by operating the remote controller and zoom in 63 points. Smooth and fine size adjustment is also possible. Images can be enlarged up to 900% in 64 steps.

Burn-in suppression function

If the same image is continuously displayed on the screen for a long time, the phenomena of burn-in and ghosting may occur. Therefore, the display is equipped with the 4-mode burn-in suppression function (1. PLE lock, 2. Reverse, 3. White and 4. Picture shift). The display also features the Auto Brightness Correction function to gradually reduce the brightness of the screen when still pictures are displayed continuously. (Burn-in and afterimages are not covered under the warranty.)

Video Wall function

Video Wall function The Video Wall function makes it possible to install multiple screens at a maximum of 5 x 5 (25) units.* With the Blank function, signals equivalent to the bezel width are complemented for seamless boundaries on the monitors and the full images can be displayed.
* Combinations of 5 x 5, 4 x 4, 3 x 3, 2 x 2, 5 x 1, 4 x 1, 3 x 1, 2 x 1, 1 x 5, 1 x 4, 1 x 3 and 1 x 2 are available.If signals are deteriorated when the loop through function is used, use of a distributor is recommended.

Program Timer function

The display has a dual screen repeat timer capable of setting combinations of the dual picture function to the program timer for switching the power on/off, switching image sources and activating the burn-in suppression function at the designated time. Save and execute the scheduled display of different images with just the plasma display without the need for an external control device such as a PC. Furthermore, this is very effective for switching images on multi systems

Multi interface with superior connectivity

Terminals supporting different devices such as DVD, HDTV device, video and PC are provided as standard configurations. Future expandability is sufficiently considered and includes the DVI terminal for HDCP, the next generation digital interface standard, as well as a design where BOXPC can be installed on the real panel of the display.Multi interface with superior connectivity

RS-232C connector

Control the display remotely and concentrically from a host computer using an RS-232C cable connecting the display and the PC. Change the settings on the respective displays independently from the host computer if multiple displays (up to 26 units) are connected in a chain configuration through the RS-232C connector.

Compatible with VESA format

VESA standard is employed for the threaded hole standard on the rear panel. Third party metal fittings may be used for wall-mounting or hanging on the ceiling.

*1 Either BNC x 5 or BNC x 3 is selected
  • Because of the inherent nature of a plasma display, the position, size and phase must be adjusted by the user due to the timing error of a PC even with the resolution stated above.
  • Synchronisation may be affected if non-standard signals other than as listed above are input.
  • Input signals equivalent to XGA or wide XGA that match the number of pixels (native resolution) on the plasma display.
  • On the digital RGB input, some input signals may be restricted.
  • Composite Sync must be connected to the HD connector.

What is HDCP/HDCP technology?
HDCP is an acronym for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. High bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) is a system for preventing illegal copying of video data sent over a Digital Visual Interface(DVI).
If you are unable to view material via the DVI input, this does not neccessarily mean the PDP is not functioning properly. With the implementation of HDCP, there may be cases in which certain content is protected with HDCP and might not be displayed due to the decision/intention of the HDCP community(Digital Content Protection, LLC).

The plasma display panel consists of fine picture elements (cells). Although NEC produces these plasma display panels with more than 99.99 percent of their cells active, there may be some cells that do not produce light or remain lit after they should have turned off. Light output of a PDP module gradually decreases over long-term use. Do not display static images for prolonged periods; otherwise a phosphor burn may appear on a part of the panel. Phosphor burns are not covered by the warranty. Status January 2008. Specifications may change without notice. The Images in this site are samples. The monitor may emit drive noise. This noise is not a defect in quality.
