An astoundingly high contrast of 3000:1 (2000:1
when the iris opens) has been achieved through an optical engine
uniquely developed by NEC. In order to improve the contrast
ratio, an important factor in determining the picture quality
of the projector, NEC utilizes advanced specification DMD chips.
The HT1000 is the optimum home theater projector supporting
all the requirements for home entertainment. It has a rich variety
of input/output terminals to support a wide range of input sources,
a PC card viewer function for displaying images from a digital
camera, and an Aspect Ratio Selectable function of 16:9 and
4:3.
The HT1000 features an Easy Installation, Simple Operation function
- innovative NEC technology incorporated into the projector.
The white colour and spherical design compliment any household
decor. In addition, the following functions address both ecology
and environmental issues.

Picture Quality |
The incredibly high contrast of 3000:1 (2000:1
when the iris opens) has been achieved by employing NEC's unique
optical technology, including a 12 deg & Black DMD chip and
an optical engine with an industry first variable IRIS.The HT1000
displays deep blacks, rich details and vibrant images with an
increased perception of depth.
Cross colour and cross luminance phenomena caused by NTSC signal
method have been drastically reduced by using 3D Y/C separation
circuit which is built in a 10-bit Video Decoder LSI developed
by using NEC's advanced IC technology.
Furthermore, NEC developed a new LSI with a Contrast Enhancement
function using an optical illusion, which is the first technology
in the industry, to create image quality with incomparable contrast.
The LSI for de-interlacing made by Faroudja® DCDi
Technology , whose quality is appreciated industry-wide, is
also employed to provide high-quality movie and video.Faroudja®
DCDi produces images that appear smooth and natural by
eliminating jagged adges that appear when standard interlaced
video is viewed. |

HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection System) compatible

| 3D
Reform |
| Ordinary projectors must
be set directly in front of the screen. The HT1000 projects
a square image from almost any angle. The 3D Reform function,
using a scaling LSI developed by NEC, corrects 3D distortions
not obtainable with ordinary four direction trapezoid
correction (top and bottom, right and left). With this
function, the HT1000 permits flexible installation and
projects images that are more beautiful. |
