| HT1100, an innovative projector
which has evolved from the HT1000 to bring you to the next stage
of home theatre. |
|
| The
advanced specification DMD chip has achieved a high contrast
of 3500:1 |
HT1100 is a DLP(Digital Light
Processing)-based projector that has achieved a precise and
high contrast picture quality.
The heart of the projector is a DMD(Digital Micro-mirror Device)
consisting of more than hundreds of thousands moving microscopic
mirrors.
Each mirror turns on or off to reflect or block each colour
of light, depending on the pixel colour required.
NEC has employed an advanced specification 12deg DMD chip for
a higher picture quality.
High contrast of 3500:1 has been achieved by employing "Iris
Lever" and an optical engine uniquely developed by NEC
that doesn't utilizes any optical factor e.g. prism between
DMD and the projection lens.
The range of the iris setting has been increased to give a 60
- 100% optical adjustment. The enhanced flexibility of the adjustment
of luminance enables you to use the projector in your family
room as well as a theatre room.
HT1100's exceptional power of expression reproduces even the
fine nuances of dark areas that weren't visible before, enhancing
the viewer's experience and the impressing enjoyment of the
visual world. |
|
| Contrast Enhancement
function utilizing the characteristics of the human eye is an
industry first technology. |
The
HT1100 performance has been achieved by uncompromising pursuit
of ideal images for the home theatre.
The specification itself is not enough to explain the advanced
technology incorporated in HT1100.
For example, NEC developed Contrast Enhancement function
with its unique technology.
This function utilizes the characteristics of the human eye
where the contrast for the same tone appears to be enhanced
within it's surrounding brightness.
Higher contrast makes shades sharper and reproduces details
clearly.
New Contrast Enhancement is available even when the input signal is 525i(480i),
625i(576i), 525p(480p), 625p(576p), and adjustable by 64 steps.
By dynamic adjustment of the transmission ratio, it reproduces
subtle colours and shades precisely even on bright screens.
The overall enhanced quality of the colour reproduction is ideal
even for Hi-Vision images.
You can see the images of before and after the correction on
the same screen with Split Mode.
* The picture is an image sample. |
|
| New
high-vision IP conversion (de-interlacing) function |
| With the scaling LSI uniquely
developed by NEC, problems of unclear or flickering characters
on superimposed subtitles or in onscreen menus for high-vision
devices that occur with HDTV 1125i (1080i) signals are solved.
For movie material, for instance, only the flickering of characters
in superimposed subtitles can be suppressed with little effect
on video images. |
|
| Newly
developed 10-bit Video Decoder LSI has achieved a precise picture
quality. |
The most advanced IC technology
as well as optical technology has been put into HT1100.
"10-bit Video Decoder LSI", newly developed by NEC,
expresses even dark areas more precisely with the gamma correction
function that optimizes the characteristics of the input video
signal.
Furthermore, the picture improvement function enabled by the
new LSI-3D Y/C separation (for NTSC signal) has drastically
reduced cross colour, cross luminance, and noise.
It reproduces vivid images by suppressing the image roughness
and the colour impurity of the video signals as well as the
component signals. |
|
| The
new OSD(On Screen Display) provides simple operations. |
The
new OSD has employed a new GUI (Graphical User Interface) and
a simple architecture consisting of three windows; TOP, SUB,
and VIEW window, which has enabled easy setting and confirming
of the values.
The number of items in the menu and also the number of layers
have been reduced so that you can find your target item without
difficulties.
The adjustment window has been made compact and easy to use. |
|
| The
new colour wheel has improved colour putity. |
HT1100 has employed a new 6-segment
colour wheel, which reduces colour breakups and improves colour
purity.
The new colour wheel supports operation at up to 5 times speed
to optimise vertical synchronisation for both video and data
presentations. |
|
| Rich
User Memory functions (55 patterns can be stored) |
| With the User Memory
function for Video, S-video, and other inputs, choose one visual
image mode among 5 different options, including Video, Movie,
or sRGB, etc., provided by the Picture Management function for
each input, respectively. In addition, store up to 55 patterns
of states adjusted according to user preferences on the memory
on the main unit. |
|
| The
test pattern display facilitates framework and focus adjustment. |
A
test pattern for adjusting the position or focus of image projection
positions is built in. |
|
| New
remote control has direct source selection buttons and a backlight
function |
Switch
the input source signals, such as Video, S-video, Component,
PC (RGB), and DVI, etc., directly through the remote control.
Since the buttons on the remote control are lit with the backlight
function the remote control is easy to operate even in a dark
environment. |
|
| The
screen positioning function enables you to select a desirable
screen position. |
When
you project an image of 16:9 to the screen of 4:3, you can adjust
the image position in vertical direction as you want.
This function has drastically improved the frexibility of installation
when using a 16:9 screen. |
|
| The
advanced interface supports a wide range of video sources. |
Equipped with the HDCP (High-bandwidth
Digital Content Protection System) -compatible DVI (Digital
Visual Interface) and the PC Card Viewer supporting digital
camera images, the HT1100 supports a variety of home entertainment
multimedia of the digital age.
The enhancement of DVI input function has contributed to the
higher picture quality and provides rich adjustment functions.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a screen trigger terminal that
interlocks the on/off of the main unit power and the up/down
of the screen with the use of devices like screen controllers. |
