The 3D Reform projects images
from an angled position. A next generation mobile projector
supporting a LAN environment.
The
highest freedom in setting up the projector*1. With the 3D Reform
function that is NEC's newly developed technology, it is possible
to project images from a position in a range of up to 40 degrees
vertically and 34 degrees horizontally from the projection angle.
A newly developed NEC chip provides
the 3D Reform function,
a keystone correction feature that corrects trapezoidal distortions,
something which was beyond the capabilities of traditional "up-down-left-right"
correction functions. With this function, more vivid images
can be projected. If the projection is distorted, simply set
the four corners of the screen to square the picture. This allows
greater freedom in setting up the projector, because it can
now be set up at an angle in relation to the screen. You can
set the projector anywhere it does not become an obstacle, and
no longer needs to be placed right in front of the screen.
With the Geometric Correction
function capable of projecting square images onto cylindrical
or spherical screens, applications for large-sized projection
will be expanded.
* Under some environmental conditions, this projector may not
be set up.
A
PC card slot is provided to support wireless/wired LAN and PC-less
presentations.
In case of a conference with many participants,
it is possible for them to transfer data from their own PC's
and project images directly without reconnecting cables. By
installing an optional wireless LAN card, you can proceed with
conferences without interrupting the discussion. It is also
possible to use multiple projectors simultaneously to project
images in a large venue.
By using a commercially available LAN card, you can collectively
monitor and control the projector's state (confirmation of the
time duration for using the lamp, On/Off of the power etc.)
from your PC through the network. Furthermore, you can send
a notification of the lamp lifetime or error messages to an
e-mail address set previously.
You can project images without connecting the projector to a
PC by recording documents onto a flash memory card and installing
it in the PC card slot. It is convenient since it is not necessary
to bring a PC. (Acceptable formats are JPEG, BMP, TEXT, HTML,
and INDEX*.)
* A file format produced with the Dynamic Image Utility stored
in the attached CD-ROM.
* Do not install any compact flash type card other than the
memory card in the equipment. If such cards are installed in
the equipment with a PC card adapter, the card may be damaged.
Brightness
of 2400 ANSI lumens at a contrast ratio of 1600:1
Since high brightness of 2400
ANSI lumens is achieved, it is possible to project sufficiently
clear and vivid images even in a bright room. Furthermore, the
high contrast ratio of 1600:1 is achieved by introducing the
advanced DMD and a newly developed optical system for optimizing
the image. As a result, contrast between black and white becomes
clearer and the capability for expression has improved drastically.
Low
noise operation less than 29 dB is achieved. (With Lamp Eco
Mode)
By combining a feedback type fan
controlling circuit to set suitable cooling conditions according
to the operating conditions and a newly developed motor, quietness
of 29dB is achieved with Lamp Eco Mode. No noises will disturb
your conference. (32 dB in Normal Mode.)
Its
low power consumption and a max. lamp life of 3000 hours contribute
to saving energy.
Power consumption of 280 W is
achieved by introducing a newly developed high-efficiency power
supply and high-efficiency engine. Power consumption in the
Standby Mode is as low as 0.6 W or less.
By using the Lamp Eco Mode, lamp life is extended to 3000
hours, running cost and labour for replacing lamps can be saved.
(Brightness in the Lamp Eco mode is 1900 ANSI lumens.)
Security
Function preventing use by unauthorized persons
By setting passwords, it is possible
to prevent from changes in the settings of the projector without
permission. By registering a flash memory card as a protection
key, it is impossible to project if the registered card or USB
memory is not installed in the equipment when the power is turned
on.
USB
memory and a USB memory card reader can be used.
Not only the flash memory card
but also USB memory can be connected to project images stored
in USB memory or used as a protection key. Furthermore, by connecting
a commercially available USB memory card reader, you can handle
various kinds of data in memory cards or use various kinds of
memory cards as a protection key. For the available USB memory and
USB memory cards, please refer to this.
The
pull-down operation menu is easy to understand. If you use a
USB mouse, the operation becomes easier.
Various operations can be easily
with using understandable pull-down menu like PC operations.
You can choose either the Basic Mode as displaying a basic operation
menu or the Advanced Mode in which you can make adjustments
to details. It is also possible to customize the menu to display
frequently used functions. By connecting a commercially available
USB mouse, you can also access the menu with it.
Furthermore, with the chalkboard function, you can draw on the
projected image directly to make more impressive presentations.
A
soft case is attached as a standard option.
A soft case for containing the
projector is a standard option.
It can contain cables along with the projector.
The
Multifunctional Presentation Wireless Remote Controller with
a built-in laser pointer* is attached.
All basic operations required
during a presentation are concentrated in the Wireless Remote
Controller. You can operate various operations, including mouse
operations of a PC, as well as controlling the projector with
the simple operation of the Wireless Remote Controller. The
signal receiver is located at both the front and the rear of
the Wireless Remote Controller. Since there are no limitations
to the position of the presenter, you can concentrate on your
presentation.
* This product is compliant with Class 2 based on laser standards
