Hospitals
Information

So far, paper-based notice boards have been the mainstream information signage in hospitals. Such notice boards are often overfilled with paper notices. Once a board is filled up, additional notices have to go somewhere else, e.g., on a cashier or nurse station counter. Public service announcements, insurance premium-related announcements, or communications from the medical secretariat or each medical department are all important information and updated every day.
A digital signage system enables on-demand display of information necessary for patients and visitors without letting such information slip into obscurity. Installed with multiple large monitors or projectors, a hospital can centrally manage displayed information and organize diverse in-house information. Furthermore, visual display equipment helps a hospital to reduce paper notices and organize the building.
Large monitors are usable as digital signage that sequentially displays checkup queue lengths or out-of-service schedules to keep many patients equally informed. Moreover, cashier queue lengths and estimated waiting times can be displayed to facilitate better use of time of patients.
